2013-2014 MAGNET PROGRAMS APPLICATION WINDOW
The Magnet application window for the 2013- 2014 school year is December 1st – February 13th, 2013. Magnet Open Houses will take place during January 2013. Parents should contact the schools that they are interested in and schedule a tour or get information about particular programs.
Another option for parents to learn about magnet programs is with live Web Chats. Parents and students can learn about magnet programs in the convenience of their homes. Web Chats will begin in January 2013 and specific schools offering this opportunity can be found online. The Nova Application window for the 2013-2014 school year also opens December 1st – February 13th, 2013. Applications are available for parents at www.browardschoolsinnovativeprograms.com or from the Demographics and Student Assignment Office.
SUMMER LITERACY RESOURCES
The Curriculum Division, in collaboration with the Literacy Task Force, has created a District webpage with summer literacy resources, K-12, for Broward students and families. The Summer Literacy Resource webpage contains helpful information to support and nurture reading, as well as recommended reading lists, online literacy resources, and more. These resources can be accessed through the student and parent portals via the Broward Enterprise Education Portal (BEEP) at
